“LIVE PAINT”- An Art Fusion.
Robert Tapley Bustamante, Scott Allen & Richard Day will be fusing art with music, painting live to the beat, capturing rhythms and energy… then propelling it onto canvas. In the true spirit of collaboration, 2 painting surfaces will be set up and each artist will spontaneously express till complete. Each piece will be for sale at the end of the performance!

Go see more of Max’s insanely ill work here.
Finally got a nice professionally snapped photo of my latest inspiration which is a fusion between Native American totem poles and Maya stela stone carvings. I give it a 21st century twist and affectionately call these new creations my “Totem Scarz” series.
This first iteration is 24″x12″ and I am currently completing a larger 36″x20″ version for a book being published by an LA gallery here soon.
I love experimenting, and can flip this all day long. I will continue pushing as next I will paint up 2 and 3 color versions of this in a more spontaneous manner.
A mixed media, invitational group exhibit featuring over 40 artists from St. Louis, across the United States and Canada.
Curated by Bryan Walsh and Danielle Spradley.
The exhibit will open March 18, 2011 and continue through April 16, 2011.
Gallery Hours: Saturdays Noon-4pm or by appointment.
10,000 sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums for a nationwide tour.
